Holiday tour of kitchen in the depot

Hard to believe that the holidays are upon us.  I'm still wondering where the summer has gone?  I just love this time of year...not for the weather, but for the music, nostalgia and beautiful colors of Christmas time.

I pretty much finished decorating the kitchen here in the depot and would like to give you a little glimpse of my kitchen.  I will post more on the other rooms when I get things finished there.

Here in above photo is a favorite lil spot of mine.  I have this old french tailor's bust that I thought I would add to the kitchen with one of my favorite christmas aprons.  I'm sure if someone has enough eggnog here it just might become a dance partner!

I also love collecting pretty Christmas cookbooks.  They make a nice addition to the holiday mix.  So go ahead display them!  Maybe one day I might actually make a recipe from one.  With a few sprigs of greenery and berries and a couple of bottlebrush trees this corner is now complete.  I did find battery operated 20 strand led soft white lights from target.  They work pretty slick for any area you want to sparkle and no plug required.

As I was walking down our bike trail I came across a bush full of pretty red berries.  So I brought home a bunch and added to a vase.  Very pretty.
This galvanized 3 tier shelf is one of my favorites from pottery barn.  I must say that Pottery Barn is my favorite store!  The red juice tumblers, 2 santa mugs, and the table runner and napkins are also from there.  The other 4 santa mugs I found at Goodwill store that are vintage.  Can hardly tell the difference between them.  This will be the hot chocolate station when the grand kids come over.  Will add marshmallows and other fixins before they come.

Above is a close up of a vintage santa mug.  Behind it is the newer one from Pottery Barn.  The new one is a bit smaller and slightly different facial features.  Regardless, they are still sweet mugs!
Here is a close up of the table runner and napkins.  Just love them!
Here is a snapshot of most of the kitchen other than basement door and fridge this is it.  Nothing fancy but cozy.  I'll save the fancy for the mill kitchen soon.
This is another favorite spot in the kitchen near the front door.  Cheery.  Notice the chalboard?  My husband made this for me out of a cool old dresser mirror.  Makes a great menu board in the kitchen.  And as you can see I am not much of an artist but managed to come up with something for the holidays.
This area is above my open dish cabinet.  I could of done a more elaborate setting but chose to keep it simple and besides that most of my holiday decor is in storage.  I did keep my turkeys up for now since I still have Thanksgiving coming up.
So I hope you enjoyed my little tour here  in the depot.  Hope to have you join me soon for another room in the depot.  HAPPY THANKGIVING!

Your kitchen is so charming! I love all the red accents you've brought into the room. I've got the same 3 tiered server and never knew it could look so cute filled with Santa mugs! Great idea. Thanks for the holiday kitchen tour!

Love your kitchen....and Pottery Barn too...I have been wanting one of those metal tiers but it wont fit under my cabinet and it's too big for my island...great job on your kitchen!
